#Trailer 13 reasons why 2 series
I am very curious to see how it evolves in season 2, moving past the original concept, and we should know more in just over a week.13 Reasons Why is a teen drama series that streams on Netflix. I thought 13 Reasons Why was a great show, though I understand many of its problems. But brutality is kind of a hallmark of the series, so we’ll have to see.

It very well may be the case that 13 Reasons Why heads down this road in the end with Tyler, but the trailer didn’t indicate that, and I do wonder if they might shy away from that subject given real-world events as of late. But while there is a little bit of gun violence in this trailer, it’s mainly just Clay learning to shoot a pistol. Last season ended with the revelation that often-bullied teen Tyler was stockpiling weapons, and the assumption was that could turn into something horrific for season 2. One concern many have had about season 2 of 13 Reasons Why is that it may contain a graphic school shooting. We see protests outside in support of Hannah, and it appears many or all of the students who got tapes will be a part of the trial. But we don’t really get a super clear look at any of the pictures.Īnother major event of this season is a trial, where I believe Hannah’s mother is trying to hold parties guilty for her death, Bryce included. I did get the vibe of some sort of weird high school sex cult thing that might be happening among that group, which is where these photos were taken. The new trailer shows that Bryce is still free, despite Clay recording his confession, and he appears to be soliciting the help of other jocks.

The first one he gets says “Hannah wasn’t the only one,” which appears to reference the fact that she was raped by the jock Bryce, implying he has even more victims (we already know he also raped her friend Jessica). The new hook is a series of Polaroids that are shown to Clay and others. As ever, I should put a subject matter warning ahead of the discussion of this series, as it might be tough for some to read about, much less watch. But now not only is Hannah back (in Clay hallucinations, it looks like), but there’s another tape-like hook for this season. The entire point of the original run was that a girl who committed suicide, Hannah, had left a series of tapes for her classmates to explain why. 13 Reasons Why season 2 premieres on May 18 th, and it’s a show that seemed like well, frankly, it shouldn’t have a second season.
